Travel Notes: Byron Bay

At the beginning of the year I visited Byron Bay for a few days, taking the time to recharge and reflect on the year to come.

Hiking to the lighthouse

The hike to the light house was harder than expected, but certainly worth it. The view is spectacular, and listening to the waves crushing against the rocks is like a beautiful melody.

Lunch break at Combi

After our hike it was time for some well deserved food and obviously coffee. Combi in Byron Bay is one of my favourite places for brekkie or lunch break. They have delicious meals and colourful acai bowls.

At the market

The first Sunday of every month the beachfront of the Main Beach in Byron turns into a bustling market. You'll find street food, fresh produce, handmade bags, second hand books, prints, and anything else you can think of really.. It's a great way to spend a Sunday morning strolling among the stalls and enjoying some good music too. There are some many other markets in the area all year round - you can check the full list here.

Around Byron Bay

Byron has so much to offer, from local coffee shops and restaurants to beautiful bookshops and op shops, there is something for everyone. I simply love the beach vibe mixed with sophisticated yet easy going allure of this town.
